This notice explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect personal information, and how you can contact us about it. It should be read together with any terms that apply to a service you use. This is a summary notice; the wording is under review and may be updated.
1. Information we may collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect identity and contact details (such as name, date of birth, residential address, email and phone number), verification information and documents, and financial and transaction records associated with a verified profile.
We also collect technical information such as IP address, device and browser metadata, and records of communications with us. If you do not provide information we require, we may be unable to provide a service.
2. How we collect information
We collect information directly from you — for example, when you request access, during identity or business verification, and through interactions by email or during onboarding. We may also receive information from identity-verification providers, payment and banking partners, and public registries or regulators, where relevant.
Sensitive information is collected only where necessary and, where required, with your consent or as permitted by law.
3. Why we collect information
- To provide and operate services, including verification and settlement operations.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including AML/CTF obligations.
- To prevent fraud, money laundering and other financial crime.
- To communicate with you about your request or an active service.
4. Who we share information with
We may share information with service providers who support our operations (such as identity-verification providers, payment and banking partners, and cloud and IT providers), and with regulators, courts, law enforcement or professional advisers where we are required or permitted to do so.
Where information is transferred or processed outside Australia, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
5. Security and data handling
We apply access controls, authentication, encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate, and operate on secure cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
6. Your rights and retention
You may ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
- withdraw consent for certain uses where applicable.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). We retain personal information for as long as necessary to meet our legal and operational obligations; for AML/CTF purposes this may be up to seven years after the end of a relationship.
7. Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies. Any analytics are limited to understanding site performance and would be described here, with a consent approach, before being enabled. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, which may affect some site functionality.
8. Contact and updates
We may update this notice from time to time and will post changes here with a revised date. To ask a question about privacy, use the request form on our contact section.
